Biography
I am a Marriage Family Therapist with two Master’s degrees in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University and Spiritual Psychology from University of Santa Monica. I also have a Certificate as an Alcohol Drug Counselor and I am a PhD candidate in Clinical Psychology at Pacifica Graduate Institute. I have helped individuals find their strength and confidence, while empowering them to take control of their lives. I support families, couples, individuals and groups with compassion and an authentic spirit. My orientation is integrative, and I ground myself in a Humanistic and Depth-Psychodynamic approach. I am also passionate in promoting alternative paths to wellness by using expressive arts and mindfulness practices. These have enriched my capacity to deeply understand the somatic connection with the mind, body, and spirit. I have experience in treating individuals with Complex Trauma, Anxiety, Depression, Grief and Loss, Alcohol and Substance Addiction, Intimacy, Spiritual Emergency, Relationship Concerns, and Mid-life Challenges. In my spare time, I appreciate walking in nature, bicycling, fitness, reading, writing, acting, watching films and documentaries, especially foreign and independent art house films, traveling, participating in spiritually oriented events and retreats, meditating, being of service in my community, and spending time with my family.

MISSION STATEMENT
Our mission is to
guide individuals on life's journey.
Our mission is to guide individuals on a spiritual and psychological journey, helping them explore the depths of their souls, heal childhood trauma, and uncover their true purpose in life. Through therapy, meditation, and inner work, we empower individuals to connect with their innermost selves, release past wounds, and cultivate peace and wholeness. Our ultimate goal is to support individuals awakening to their highest potential and living a life of authenticity, fulfillment, and spiritual depth.Children with insecure attachments have problems with boundaries, distrust, dishonesty, interpersonal difficulties, and social isolation. Insecure attachment tends to be transmitted from generation to generation (Karen, 1994). An insecure attachment bond fails to meet your child’s need for security, acceptance, and calm, stopping the child’s developing brain from forming. This can obstruct mental, emotional, and physical development, leading to difficulties in learning and forming relationships in later life. A secure attachment bond safeguards that your child will feel safe, understood, and calm enough to experience peak nervous system development. The child’s developing brain coordinates itself to provide the best foundation for a child’s life: a feeling of safety, which affects excitement to learn, strong self-awareness, trust, and empathy.Children with insecure attachments may experience difficulties setting boundaries, feeling distrustful, being dishonest, struggling with interpersonal relationships, and feeling socially isolated. Insecure attachment patterns can often be passed down from generation to generation. When a child lacks a secure attachment bond, their need for security, acceptance, and emotional regulation may not be met, hindering their overall development. This can impact their cognitive, emotional, and social growth, potentially leading to challenges in learning and forming healthy relationships. On the other hand, a secure attachment bond provides a sense of security, understanding, and calmness essential for optimal brain development. This foundation of safety promotes a child's curiosity, self-awareness, trust, and empathy, setting the stage for positive growth and development. When parents of disorganized infants engage in frightened or frightening interactions with their children, they create a paradoxical situation where the child sees them as both a source of threat and protection, leading to the emergence of contradictory internal working models of self and others when the attachment system is activated during stressful times.Parents of disorganized infants may participate in frightened or frightening interactions with their children, thereby displaying the infant with the paradox that the parent is a source of threat and protection. Under these paradoxical conditions, when the attachment system is activated during times of stress, contradictory internal working models of self and others may become evident. In further exploring this argument, it is essential to recognize the significance of the father-child bond in child development. Research has shown that the quality of the relationship between a father and child can significantly impact the child's emotional, social, and cognitive development. Fathers play a unique and vital role in supporting, guiding, and modeling behavior for their children. By overlooking the father-child bond in his analysis, John Bowley may be missing crucial insights into the dynamics of parent-child relationships and their influence on child development. It is essential to consider maternal and paternal influences to understand the complexities of attachment and its effects on children's well-being.The memories associated with the traumatic experiences remain present in the body. Van der Kolk suggests that the remedy for the dissociation is mentalization, a technique that provides a container for retrieving the memories associated with the original trauma and therefore creating a channel for their potential transmutation. When the relationship between father and son is founded on trust and open communication, the child is more likely to develop a sense of inner safety and security, both as a boy and as he grows into manhood. An important aspect of a father's role is to provide this sense of security, which can help integrate past traumatic experiences. According to Van der Kolk, the process of mentalization can serve as a tool for addressing dissociation by creating a framework for accessing and transforming the memories linked to the initial trauma. This approach facilitates the potential transmutation of these memories, allowing for healing and growth.
